Expeller Machines - Filter Press
What is an Expeller Machine?
– An expeller press is a screw-type machine that mainly presses oil seeds through a caged barrel-like cavity. Raw materials enter one side of the press and waste products exit the other side. The machine uses friction and continuous pressure from the screw drive to move and compress the seed material. The oil seeps through small openings that do not allow seed fiber solids to pass.
– Afterward, the seeds are formed into a hardened press cake, which is removed from the machine. Pressure involved in expeller pressing creates heat in the range of 140–210 °F (60–99 °C). Raw materials are typically heated up to 250 °F (121 °C) to make the pressing more efficient, otherwise the pressing itself will heat the oil to 185–200 °F (85–93 °C).
Application
Oil Mills & Refineries. Vegetable Processing Plants. Sugar Mills. Chemical Industries.
Modern Design
Maharaja Filter Presses are engineered for superior performance and durability. Our close-grain cast iron plates are precision-machined on a vertical auto lathe, ensuring a perfect leak-proof fit for long-lasting service. The plates are then ground to a fine tolerance for unmatched rigidity.
Enhanced Serviceability
This Press incorporate unique features that extend their operational lifespan. Special threaded sockets within the plates allow for easy replacement in case of thread wear, protecting the integrity of the main plates.
Optional Features
-Integrated Safety Valve & Air Vessel: A single-piece fabricated unit featuring a safety valve, air vessel, and pressure gauge can be mounted on the inlet line for enhanced safety and system control. - Ratchet Tightening Gear: This optional feature simplifies the plate tightening process, ensuring a secure fit and efficient operation.
